Privacy
DailyDeeds is built to know as little about you as possible. Your settings stay on your phone. Your deeds and profile stay there too, unless you sign in so they follow you to any phone.
What stays on your phone
The answers you give in the opening questions (age range, knowledge level and goals) and your settings, such as theme, language and reminder time, are stored only on your device. We don't receive any of them. As a guest, the deeds you've done and your profile (below) stay only on your phone too.
Your profile
Everything on your profile is optional: a photo, your first and last name, your date of birth, your sex and a short bio. Your date of birth is used to check you're old enough to use the app, and your sex will help suggest deeds that suit you. A photo you take or choose is cropped on your phone and only that cropped picture is kept.
As a guest, your profile stays on your phone. With an account, Supabase also stores it (the photo in Supabase Storage), so it follows you to any phone where you sign in. For now only you can see it. If we add a way to share your profile with friends, we'll update this page before it does anything, and you'll choose what friends see.
If you create an account
You can use DailyDeeds as a guest without an account. If you choose to sign in with email, Google or Apple, our sign-in provider, Supabase, stores your email address and a sign-in identifier so you can log in again. With Apple you can choose to hide your email. We use this only to sign you in. On your iPhone, the keys that keep you signed in are stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted. If you sign in with Apple, we also keep a token Apple gives us, only so we can tell Apple to cut the link when you delete your account.
With an account, Supabase also stores which deeds you've done on which days, so your progress follows you to any phone where you sign in. Your streak, score and garden are worked out from it on each phone. The app saves your progress on the phone first and sends it when you're online. Only your account can read it.
If you sign in with email, Google or Apple using the same email address, they open the same account.
Invite codes
Every account has an invite code. If you redeem a friend's code, we store which account invited you and when, so we can count your friend's invitations and give any reward they've earned. Your friend sees how many people used their code, never who.
DailyDeeds+ and purchases
Payments for DailyDeeds+ are made through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card or bank details. To know who has DailyDeeds+, we use RevenueCat, a purchase service: it receives an identifier for you (your account identifier when you're signed in, or a random one when you're a guest), your purchase history from Apple or Google, your country and currency, and basic device details such as the app version and operating system. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf and doesn't use it for advertising. You can read its policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Bug reports
If you send a bug report from Settings, we receive what you write, a screenshot if you add one, your app version, your phone's system version and the app's language. With an account, the report is linked to it; as a guest, you can leave an email address if you'd like a reply. We use reports only to fix the app, and they're stored with Supabase.
Crash reports and usage, only if you agree
The app asks you once, and you can change your answer any time in Settings → Share crash reports and usage. It's off until you say yes. If you agree, we receive a report when the app runs into an error (what went wrong, where in the code, the app and system versions), with a random number made on your phone instead of your name or account, and we count which DailyDeeds+ screens are opened. That's all: no ads, no tracking across apps, nothing sold. Apple may also share crash reports with us if you allowed it in your iPhone's settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements).
Reminders
The daily reminder is scheduled on your phone. No server sends it, and no message content leaves your device.
What we don't do
No ads and no advertising tools. No tracking across apps or websites, no advertising identifier, no location. We don't sell, share or rent your data, and we don't build a profile of you.
Deleting your data
In the app, Settings lets you clear your progress on this device or delete your profile; you can also delete your profile from the Profile page, or remove any field or your photo there. Deleting your profile removes your account, the progress, stickers and profile saved with it, your photo, your bug reports and their screenshots from our servers, deletes your customer record at RevenueCat, tells Apple to cut the link if you signed in with Apple, and erases your data on the device. Purchase records Apple or Google must keep by law stay with them. Clearing the device keeps your account: if you're signed in, your progress and profile come back from it. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on the phone, but not your account.
Children
DailyDeeds is meant for people aged 16 and over in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and 13 and over elsewhere. The profile doesn't accept a date of birth under that age, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from younger children. A guest never gives us any.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
